There are various cultures that have utilized Rhodiola Rosea for medicinal works throughout history. If you often feel tired, stressed, with lack of energy and vitality, if insomnia or not resting well at night you spend your bill during the day, keep reading because this article will interest you.

Rhodiola Rosea Extract is a perennial, aromatic plant commonly known as the golden root. It grows in high altitudes of the Arctic. The Vikings consumed it to increase their forces before the fighting and to endure their long campaigns. It is tradition to offer brides a bouquet of Rhodiola as a symbol of fertility. It has an infinite number of properties.

Every year there are new publications and articles of pharmacological, phytochemical and clinical studies concerning Rhodiola. The extract of rhodiola rosea is known as adaptogenic plants, which means that it strengthens your immune, endocrine and nervous system, improving your ability to resist stress.

Cognitive performance
It has been proposed that acute changes in cognition and the performance of motor skills occur through the modulation of factors that stimulate the CNS; specifically, by modulating neurotransmitter systems (increased release of catecholamines, acetylcholinesterase inhibitors or adenosine receptors) and increased cerebral perfusion during exercise.

Fatigue affects up to a third of the adult population, which affects the quality of life, work productivity and relaxation.

Rhodiola Rosea Extract has long been recognized in the traditional medical systems of Eastern Europe and Asia as an important adaptogen for its stimulation of the nervous system, antidepressants, fatigue eliminators and properties that improve performance.

Modern medical care has little to offer people with fatigue, which leads to the chronification of symptoms.
Research shows that adaptogens improve mental performance and increase resistance in people with fatigue. Adaptogens are natural compounds that help our body adapt to stress and thus avoid long-term consequences such as fatigue.

The body's main stress response system (called the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis or HPA) is strongly implicated in chronic fatigue syndrome, which helps explain why stress seems to worsen the condition.

Rhodiola combats acute and chronic fatigue
An article published in the journal Complementary Medicine Research reports on a study of subjects with acute fatigue (fatigue lasting between one and six months) and those with chronic fatigue syndrome (fatigue that lasts more than six months).

The researchers studied the adaptogenic properties of Rhodiola rosea extract. The study demonstrates that Rhodiola Rosea Extract act directly and indirectly on the body's stress and response systems at a biochemical level, improving our ability to overcome stress and improve energy levels.

All subjects in the study took 400 mg (200 mg twice daily) of Rhodiola rosea extract   every day for eight weeks and they were assigned to each of them, scores related to fatigue and functional deterioration.

At the end of the study, there was a significant decrease in all fatigue and functional impairment scores.

In addition, the results show that the subjects did not have to wait long to notice the positive effects, since the fastest decrease occurred in the first week of the study, and these measures continued to decrease significantly between week four and the end of the study.

Rapid improvements in stress levels, sleep quality, anxiety, panic, phobia, depression and cognitive ability to prioritize and execute intentions were also observed. On the other hand, 83% of the subjects assessed their status as "very improved" at the end of the treatment.

This was a large clinical trial with uniformly positive results, considered a pioneer because it included a large number of subjects with acute and chronic fatigue.

Other studies conducted with the placebo group have also shown encouraging results with Rhodiola Rosea Extract in the context of fatigue and its main cause, stress.

On the other hand, we cannot forget that stress is the result of poor management of those negative thoughts and emotions. Through the kinesiological test of the emotional part we can analyze with the patient what emotions or situations perceived as negative, prevent him from giving an alternative response to stress, contributing substantially to the improvement of fatigue.
